⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Experience with Optimist AC – Smart, Convenient & Feature-Rich! ❄️

I am extremely satisfied with my Optimist AC and the overall experience, from installation to everyday use. The installation was smooth, professional, and properly completed by the technician. The team was punctual, courteous, and explained the features and operation clearly. What I particularly appreciate is the smart mobile application, which makes controlling the AC extremely convenient. I can operate the AC directly from my smartphone without needing to be near the physical remote. I can easily control the temperature, switch modes, turn the AC on/off, and manage the unit remotely.Another excellent feature is that the app provides useful information about the AC's operation and energy usage. I can check the gas indicator/status online, which is very helpful for keeping track of the AC's condition. The self-cleaning feature is also a great addition, helping make regular maintenance more convenient. Most importantly, I can also monitor how many kWh (units of electricity) the AC is using through the mobile application. This is a very useful smart feature because it helps me understand electricity consumption and manage my usage more efficiently. The combination of smartphone control, gas-status monitoring, self-cleaning, and real-time/online energy-consumption information makes the Optimist AC feel like a truly modern and intelligent air-conditioning system.Overall, I am very happy with the cooling performance, smart technology, mobile application, energy monitoring, and professional installation service. The convenience and transparency provided by the app are excellent.Highly recommended Optimist AC! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐A great choice for anyone looking for a smart, modern, energy-conscious, and easy-to-control AC.Thank you, Team Optimist, for such a wonderful product and excellent service! 😊❄️

Ultimate product

I was sceptical in buying it but it was worth a try. AC cooling is amazing, remote is very simple so you don't have to switch mobile light to see what is being pressed. All controls including direction of vents are available on app and it can be connected to alexa and google as well. The outdoor unit is surprisingly larger then normal ac but the built quality is amazing . I think it will be No 1 seller by next year. Installation was smooth without any extra charges. Perfect economical ac.

Promising but lacking - better R&D, QC required

EDIT: Optimist co-founder reached out to me. He explained several viewpoints of brand and idea behind it, long with some technical explanations and acknowledged the noise issue as well. Future iterations are in works. Appreciate when companies actually care. Hence revising the rating, 4 stars!!Was curious enough to try out a desi brand in crowd of international and national giants ruling this appliance segment - It felt such a promising AC but reality was so different.Pros:1. Good support. They include core cutting upto 10" brick walls in standard installation cost and other details they took care of. First of its kind. However installation took really long, denied to install MCB (I didn't argue as they seemed clueless on wire layout) and had to cleanup after them. Can understand this part. They can't offer house cleanup - something has to be done yourself.1.1 They have great support channel via WhatsApp where you actually talk to a human instead of a usual AI generated dumb responses. Took notes of my installation requests and instructed installing folks accordingly.2. Comprehensive warranty of 5 years. No strings attached. Although have to see if it at all materializes fruitfully. Quality of the AC gas to be seen across seasons.3. AC performance is okay. Minimum temp is 20C. Compressor runs freely once room temperature is achieved. The IDU is huge for 1.4T AC and generates almost a bucket full of water for every 9 hours it runs. Good if you into organic plantations4. VFM - The amazon sale had it listed for an insane price. Made perfect sense at that price point.5. Nice minimalist remote and app integration.Cons:1. ODU NOISE - Bro, in all my 14 years of ownership of ACs, this is the noisiest AC I have ever seen. The first time it started full steam and compressor started drawing load, it sounded like a heli rotor with bad bearings - almost a geary 400khz humm. I raised a complaint, an engineer came next day and shoved some dampenings besides compressor. Noise went down by 20% but still existed. I again raised this as a complaint. They replaced the ODU. Even the new one has same noise levels. It's inherent. Can't do anything other than to live with it. None of my 8 other ACs make such levels of noise even when paired together. Daikin and LG - you beauties!2. Not exactly a cons but efficiency is overstated - the difference compared to a 1.5T 3 star AC is barely 4-6% (This can easily be 15% if your usage exceeds 8 hours a day) The min temp being 20C further unloads compressor of extra long run times. The sweet spot for this is 26C with fan. Other 1.5T inverter ac usually hit that spot at 27-28C with fan. This is rated for 4850W cooling at 1.4T similar to other 1.5T 3 star ACs. Hence the higher ISEER rating. Great marketing. Although Breaking even may take 5 years if you use it less. To see some real difference, you have to run it 8-10 hours or more at minimum. I ran a comparision with me other 1.5T 3 star Godrej AC (simulated based on its power draw assuming it draws max load in first hour right from the starting, like Optimist does).EDIT: I eat my words back. This thing is efficient if you know the trick. I keep it on 27 with a fan and bills are barely noticeable. The ODU goes idle with a power draw of 324W and stays there for as long until the temperature rises again. If you're on the outer side facing sun directly at your roof or one of your walls, the turnaround will be quick to activate compressor again. But for rooms inside, this is a great buy. Haven't seen a compressor go as low as sub 300W except for LG 5 star model where it goes all the way to 260-275W. Kudos to the engineering team of optimist. Keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for a long fruitful run with this AC.3. Had to tell the replacement ODU installation team to redo the vacuuming of the line before kicking in refrigerant. They were wondering why. But ran it for 5-7 mins and then went ahead with installing. BTW, ODU is huge for a 1.4T AC. Could've been shorter in dimensions.I am observing it for a few more days before taking a final call. Will update the review here accordingly.EDIT: Chose to go in with my gambling instincts and retain the unit. Fingers hooked and crossed.
