Impressive product design, but useless smart features & fraudulent service network

​In terms of design, looks, and space management, the product is genuinely impressive. However, the ownership experience turned into a complete nightmare due to LG's "Smart Diagnosis" feature and completely dishonest after-sales service.​Connecting the appliance to the ThinQ app is needlessly complex. The demo person took zero responsibility, casually claiming that LG customer care would diagnose errors directly over a call just by listening to the unit's chime/tones. When an actual software error occurred, customer care contradicted this and dispatched a technician. The person who arrived was just an untrained local mechanic who openly admitted, "I only do mechanical repairs; I don't know anything about software or smart diagnosis."​When I escalated, customer care promised a senior engineer, but assigned the same third-party agency. Shockingly, the agency cancelled the request without contacting me, falsely reporting the status as "customer self-repaired." On raising another complaint, another person arrived only to dismiss the issue, telling me to just keep hard-resetting the machine whenever the error appears—even though the frequency of the error kept increasing.​To top it off, this authorized service agency runs a feedback scam: after visits, they ask the customer to share a screenshot of the official feedback SMS received from LG, and use that link themselves to submit 5-star ratings behind the customer's back!​Selling smart features that your own support team cannot handle is misleading. Sincere thanks to Amazon customer support for understanding the situation and promptly processing a return and full refund. LG has broken years of trust—completely unacceptable.

Unfair Fridge Exchange Inspection & Extra Charges by Amazon

I am very disappointed with the fridge exchange process. While purchasing the new fridge, it was clearly mentioned that if the old fridge is in working condition, the exchange value would be ₹4000. My old single-door fridge was working properly, and I only decided to exchange it because I wanted to upgrade to a bigger fridge.In fact, I was using the fridge normally till the delivery person arrived, and I removed all the food items only after he reached my home. But after a very quick check, he simply said there is a “compressor issue” and “sound is coming” from the fridge. Every refrigerator makes some normal running sound, especially older fridges. Without any proper checking or technical testing, they reduced the exchange amount and asked me to pay an extra ₹800. It feels like they simply created issues to reduce the exchange value.The funny part is that my newly delivered fridge actually makes more sound than my old fridge, especially when the compressor starts. So how can normal fridge sound be treated as a defect only for the old fridge?Customers place orders based on the exchange conditions shown online, but at the time of delivery extra charges are being added for unreasonable reasons. Very disappointing and unfair experience with the exchange inspection process.

Defective Product Delivered

Upgraded from a single-door fridge by exchanging our old one and bought this LG refrigerator with high expectations. Unfortunately, the experience has been disappointing from day one.Upon delivery, we noticed a dent at the back of the fridge. It may have happened during transport, which is still understandable. Since our old fridge was already exchanged, all the food items had to be kept outside. While waiting 4–8 hours before switching on the fridge is acceptable, LG technicians take nearly 24 hours to come for demo/installation. By then, food items can easily get spoiled. That process really makes no sense.To make things worse, there is an unusual sound coming from the fridge door near the stopper while closing. The technician confirmed that the unit needs replacement. However, when trying to replace it, Amazon now shows the product as out of stock and says only refund is possible.Now we are left with no option but to buy another fridge and wait another week or more. Overall, a very frustrating experience. Didn’t expect this level of service and quality control from LG.

Defective product and worst service

If there's option for negative star I would give that. Defective product was delivered and pathetic service from Amazon, no coordination and responsibilities, ownership from both lg brand and Amazon, worst experience, experienced nightmare with service, return and refund. Pickup was failed multiple times and my money was hell more than 12 days, and less money returned than original paid. wouldn't recommend anyone to purchase big appliances with amazon
