Product Failed, Warranty Support Was Very Disappointing

I purchased the KENT Digital Air Fryer 8L, but unfortunately the product developed a fault and stopped working.I contacted KENT customer service and a technician eventually visited and inspected the product. The technician confirmed that the problem was with the panel board and that a replacement part needed to be ordered. However, after that, there was no proper follow-up or clear timeline for when the product would actually be repaired.I repeatedly contacted KENT Customer Care. I was told several times that my case had been escalated to the “concerned department on high priority”, but I still did not receive any meaningful update or resolution. Even after repeated emails, I was simply asked to wait. What was particularly frustrating was being told by the technician that because I purchased the product online, it would not be replaced, whereas a product purchased from a physical shop might be eligible for replacement. This is difficult to understand when KENT products are officially sold through online platforms.Eventually, I contacted Amazon Customer Support regarding the issue. Amazon's Executive Customer Relations team, particularly Sagar, took the matter seriously and escalated it internally. Finally, Amazon processed a return and arranged pickup, with a refund to be processed after receiving the product.I appreciate Amazon for stepping in and providing a solution when I could not get a satisfactory resolution directly from KENT.My experience:❌ Product stopped working❌ Poor warranty/service follow-up from KENT❌ Repeated promises of “high priority” with no meaningful update❌ No clear repair timeline❌ Very disappointing after-sales support✅ Amazon eventually took responsibility and arranged a return/refundThe product itself may work well when it is functioning, but after-sales service is just as important as the product, especially when the product is under warranty. Based on my experience, I would be very cautious about purchasing KENT appliances again.
