Read before you Buy

I bought the refrigerator for my office having 8-10 employees. Please read the below in depth technical review.Pros:1. In offices, you barely use freezer. So having refrigerator on the top was not only convenient but looked professional as well.2. Powerful LED light in the fridge compartment. It illuminates the entire fridge decently.3. Sturdy build quality.4. Compact size. Just right for my use case.5. GE Black color is like graphite black. Looks amazing and uncommon.6. Last, but the major factor that won my heart. I loaded fridge with 50 litres soft drinks. It could chill them all within 24 hours. (Check image).7. Quick installation support by brand. They arrived within 2 hours of delivery.8. Absolutely silent. Initially i was unsure if it is actually running, until it started cooling.9. Nice quality toughened shelves. On one shelf I have 30 x 0.5 litre water bottles, which means a total of 15 litres load.10. It makes ice in around 1.5 hours under medium load.Cons:1. Many LG & Samsung refrigerators in this segment consumes below 220 units per year. This consumes 238 units.2. No LED in freezer compartment.3. This is not a convertible model. It means you cannot turn freezer into fridge or vice versa.4. Power usage controlled by a regulator, which looks a bit old school.5. If you close any conpartment with force, the other conpartment opens by half inch and closes automatically within a split second (happens as air vents are connected).Verdict:There are some manageable cons but pros overpower them. I was surprised to see that 50 litres of liquid got chilled within 24 hours! This duration may look very long to you. But trust me, I have used so many bigger refrigerators of leading brands, and even if I put 6 x 2 litre cold drinks, it won’t chill them even after 12 hours. It takes very hard work for fridge to cool down water. And this refrigerator worked amazing under stress. The only thing I miss is convertible option because we don’t use freezer at all in office. Their larger models have convertible option but since I had limited space, I had to buy this.Overall, this is an excellent purchase for the given price. I recommend buying this for office or for a family of 3-4.Upvote if it helped :)

Space no good!

Had a similar size haier fridge for close to 9 years and it had repairs and I opted to change the fridge.. I had to pick the same size due to the cabinet I got done in the kitchen for the fridge.. the new fridge has only 1 vegetable basket, no fruit basket that I had in the older generation one, the old gen one had a fruit basket, vege basket and 3 shelves.. here I either need to have an optional fruit basket which I ended up buying separately and then figured I dont have 3 shelves anymore! Freezer dsnt have the ice pad, and the ice box is so basic in the latest one! Total disappointment, I cant handle the pain of having the freezer on top, the only reason im not returning.. will definitely move away from haier after this
