amazon basics 6-Sheet Cross Cut Paper and Credit Card Shredder

Good and efficient

Used it. Good performance, but it heats up quite quickly and stops. Wait for about 5 minutes, and it's ready for use again

It's a good shredder for the price

Bought it to replace a 6 year old Fellowes cross cut shredder that bit the dust. Right out of the box, it ran loud and the teeth were bone dry. However, after some sewing machine oil, it quietened down and ran perfectly. I love the fact that it takes very little under desk space. It's a good shredder. The 6 sheet limit is exaggerated. It's at the verge of jamming when shredding 6 sheets of 80gsm paper. 4 sheets is a more realistic limit. It's also been able to easily shred non-paper things like debit cards. The only annoying thing is the blue LED. It's soo big, bright and annoying that I ended up putting tape over it. They should've used a much smaller LED that was either green or white colored.

Very Disappointing Product and After-Sales Service

Very Disappointing Product and After-Sales ServiceThe product stopped working within just 7 days of purchase, which is extremely disappointing. When we approached the company for service in Bangalore, we were informed that they do not provide service support in Bangalore and were asked to send the device all the way to Delhi for service. This is highly inconvenient and unacceptable, especially for a product that failed within such a short period. If the company is selling products in Bangalore, there should be proper local service support available.I am very disappointed with both the product quality and after-sales service. I would strongly recommend that the company improve its service network and provide proper support to customers in Bangalore and other cities.Avoid buying it
