Amazing Lock

The lock is really amazing, looks, built quality, durability and the its heavy duty. I switched from previous old type of normal hand locks which gets loose after few months of usage then after watching so many locks and their reviews i come up with Native Lock pro, the lock delivered next day and the lock is really good. Installation was also quite fast he took the old lock and fitted the new lock. All features are really useful but bell link technology is next level, its very fast and shows notifications in just few seconds with pictures of the person who rang the bell. Overall im glad to buy native lock and will update this review after usage of dew months. Thankx Native and Amazon😎

Robust and reliable

Got the Urban Company Native Lock Pro installed recently and so far, I’m really happy with it. The lock is quite responsive and feels solid and robust. The technician visited the very next day after the lock was delivered and completed the installation in less than an hour. The app is also simple and easy to use, which makes the overall experience quite smooth. Hopefully, it continues to perform this well in the long run.9/10 for me so far.

A lock from hell

It’s a poorly conceptualized product with a crippling lack of basic functionality.Being unable to simply lock/unlock the lock remotely without someone having to first press the bell to receive a notification is just plain stupid. What if it’s a child or someone on a wheelchair who is unable to reach the bell but you want to let them in? Why can’t I just lock or unlock my door as per my choosing? I can only imagine how it all went down where a person or team sat there one day and said “Here’s an idea. Let’s make a smart lock that cannot be locked or unlocked!” And the investors applauded in approval saying “Brilliant!” thus turning this mindless machina into reality. To make matters worse, the touchpad button for the bell is microscopic and not something anyone feels inclined to press without being instructed to do so. And connecting my existing doorbell to the lock doesn’t work. Their own installer wasn’t able to make it work.Adding to the useless nature of this lock, the fingerprint sensor on it is abysmal. It fails to recognize my fingerprints more often than it recognizes them. In a day and age where you’re used to phones with ultra fast and accurate biometric recognition, this feels slow, cumbersome and unintuitive. You’re never quite sure how long it wants you to place your finger for. It almost never recognizes anyone on their first attempt. And if it fails the second time then 9/10 times it’s going to fail the third time as well and turn red and lock you out for the next several minutes with an annoying voice telling you to “Try again later”. A lock isn’t something that I can “try again later”. Unlocking and entering my house isn’t optional where I can be like “Sure I’ll try again tomorrow!”. The stupid thing doesn’t even allow the keypad to be activated right away so I can punch in my passcode. Being locked out of my own house when standing right in front of it because this “smart” lock can’t recognize me feels anything but smart. You know those movies where there’s this sorry schmuck who’s desperate to get home to safety just in the knick of time after narrowly evading some relentless reprobate with a traumatic upbringing and dastardly intentions? Not with this lock you ain’t. This thing will be telling you to “Please try again later” as you’re getting dragged back to the lunatic’s trunk.I wish I had done a bit more research before I bought this dimwitted device. In my defense all I was hoping for was …lock.. that locks .. and unlocks. Silly me I know! And this is a petty gripe in comparison but launching the Urban Company app to unlock my home feels ..wrong. I really don’t need for uRbAn cOmPanY to have a say in my comings and goings. I expected a standalone app. I didn’t expect my MAIN DOOR to be one of the many TABS within an app listed right alongside Waxing, Facials, Pest Control and Toilet cleaning. The hole cut into the door to accommodate this doltish doohickey means I’m stuck with it until I find a suitable replacement of similar dimensions. I urge you to make better decisions. Let my purchase not be in vain. There’s a plethora of locks out there. They’re all better or at least less worse. Save yourselves the trouble, the aggravation and the embarrassment and buy one of those. Meanwhile, I want to take out this lock & throw it onto a busy highway so I can watch trucks & buses turn it to dust.
