Leeway LF105 Squat Rack

Good for home use if you know the limitations

I bought this squat rack recently and overall I'm very happy with it. Good for home use, doesn’t take much space, price is very affordable compared to others. One big plus is that the width is adjustable, so whether you have a 5ft, 6ft or even 7.2ft barbell it works fine. Strength wise also it feels ok, especially for bench press which most people do at home. For home gym setup this is more than enough.Pros:Compact, doesn’t occupy much spaceAffordable priceAdjustable width for different barbellsGood for bench press and light squatsCons:Product came with many scratches (see photos). I don’t mind as this is not meant to look beautiful but others should be aware. They claim 350kg capacity but honestly looking at the frame it doesn’t look like it. The side poles are only 1.5 inch wide and 3 inch depth, normally racks are 3x3 inch. Material is also thinner. I think only the bottom runner is 14 gauge rest all is 16 gauge 11 gauge would have been amazing. They should at least have launched an advanced version of this with 6000-8000 Rs more.Holes don’t look laser cut, looks like someone manually did it with tools.Finishing not great, they used oil paint on spotter arms and side poles. Why not powder coat? Even if the price was a bit higher, customers would prefer a better finishing.Biggest negative – the spotter arms are only 1 feet length, that’s a joke. Ideally it should be at least 18-22 inch. With 12 inch, you really can’t depend on it for squats. For bench press also the j-hooks almost touch the spotters, making it useless in case you want to bail out. I am planning to go to a fabrication guy give him this spotter arms and make a new longer spotters around 18 inch. 22 inch would compromise stability as it would be in line with the bottom runner, but 18 inch should be perfect.Even with these negatives, I would still rate 5 stars. At this price point nothing better is available. More than enough for home use and works well if you know the limitations.

Great product for the price

I have multiple items purchased from leeway and have been satisfactory so far. This one is no exception.Good:1. Finish is premium especially the colour and coating2. Dimensions are appropriate3. Easy to assemble, move and adjust as needed4. Adjustment knobs are easy to use yet very high quality5. Packaging was good though the handling by delivery person was not careful, few scratches on beautiful red colourDesired:1. The hooks do not have rubber protection. Very basic. As you but bar on it the cooler will be scratched exposing the bare metal.2. Unsure about the weight capacity. It might be for 350 KG static loading. However when returning 150 KG after squat the rack horizontally sways. Have not tried exercises such as thrusters

Excellent

With great trepidation I ordered this, after seeing positive reviews. This is a weel made and sturdy product.Well thought out and designed.Width is adjustable and fits even my 5foot rod.Does not take up much space. The barbell supports are easy to take out and slot it at different heights- good for squats, benchpress, bicep curls with rod, as well as deadlifts.Highly recommended.

Simple and sturdy!

Correcting my previous feedback - the seller DID send the right assembly screws, in just didn’t realise how to use them properly. This is a great piece of equipment, and good value for money!
