A brilliant robot that sets the convenience bar high!

I bought the Ecovacs Deebot T50S Pro Omni robot vacuum cleaner after a fair amount of "is it really needed" and watching reviews online. And it impressed me right from Day 1! The mapping of my house was breezy, no problem. The cleaning was good, and my mother who is very fussy about cleanliness actually said, "Now I can walk actually barefoot withour using slippers all day!"The app is convenient to use, there are a good amount of customizations you can set, and make it totally ready for your home, considering balcony, bathrooms, terrace, and so on. The navigation is practically flawless - only need to take care of things like brooms and thin carpets/mats lying about. After about a week of use, I had to change the location of the docking station. I wasn't sure if it would find the new location by itself, or if I would have to set up the whole thing again. I let the Deebot run and see what happens. It started from the new location, got its bearings, cleaned a room, and then of course did not find the docking station when it went to clean the mops. It roamed about the apartment looking for the docking station - which honestly, was fun to watch - and then when it came to the new location, updated the Home location in the app. Flawless! I was genuinely impressed here. The advanced features work well. The navigation does not care if a sofa or chair or tea-table has moved. It cleans the areas it can access very effectively.Go for it!

ECOVACS T90 Pro Omni – My Review

What I like* Excellent vacuuming performance* Very good mopping* Great for homes with kids and pets* Automatic mop washing and drying* Good obstacle avoidance and navigation* Very little daily involvement required* Good overall cleaning consistencyWhat could be betterThe main downside is that the cleaning solution and consumables can be relatively expensive, depending on what you use. The docking station also needs some occasional maintenance even though the robot itself is largely hands-off.OverallFor me, the T90 Pro Omni is less about having impressive specifications and more about actually reducing the amount of cleaning I need to do manually. That is where it performs really well.
