Anveshan A2 Cow Ghee 500ML

The ghee that won me over!

I an giving this a one star review because I strong suspect the ghee I ordered and received is adulterated. At 23deg C this ghee doesn’t thicken and is like thin pouring consistency- like one expects of oil. I compared the consistency with another A2 brand I use called Praakritik and there is big difference in consistency. I wish I could have uploaded videos here to show people this. While the smell and flavor are good enough I don’t believe this ghee is pure and as such I cannot recommend it given the price. The other raving reviews against it are very misleading. Over the last couple of days, the consistency of this ghee has become thicker and more settled and it is no longer as runny as it was on the day that it arrived. Since I am now happy with its texture - plus the overall packaging, information provided, colour and taste are pretty good - I am now changing the rating to a 5 and a ‘will recommend to other buyers’The founders at Team Anveshan, were prompt to get in touch to address my concerns on reading my initial review and even offered to set it right by offering a replacement jar for my peace of mind. However, I opted to stick with the jar I received because by now it looked and tasted pretty fine to me. For a start up company working to empower Indian farmers and bring fresh farm products to homes, they do believe in a high level of customer service. I am impressed with their ability to answer questions with no problems and share knowledge - an obvious reflection of their commitment and passion towards their product.For other buyers reading this review and initially finding themselves with the same concerns I did - perhaps you might find it helpful to know that the melting and crystallization of fats can get affected by weather and temperature conditions during transit and that while this may have some apparent, but temporary, impact on the texture/consistency of ghee bought over the internet (especially if you end up comparing it against the smooth and homogeneous texture of store bought ghee), it doesn’t affect the quality, taste, shelf life or genuineness of the ghee which arrives in a sealed jar. At my request, the Anveshan team even shared home testing solutions but assured me that they run every batch through stringent quality testing before it reaches customers.So recommending this ghee to anyone looking for something that is not subpar and trustworthy.Go buy and enjoy!

Good quality product but damaged in transit due to poor packaging

The product has good quality, grainy texture and rich flavour. However, there is a serious lapse in packaging by the seller, Amazon Retail.I ordered 8 bottles of the 150 ml variant. The carton had no cushioning or protective packaging for glass items and all bottles appear to have been damaged in transit. One bottle was completely shattered, with ghee leaking across the entire carton, covering all items and spilling onto the floor when opened.While documenting the damage required for a refund, I sustained a minor cut on my palm, which I noticed after the escalation call. The refund process is a hassle, as Amazon has made it difficult to reach a human customer agent.The experience was messy, inconvenient and entirely avoidable.

Excellent Quality

It has a rich aroma, smooth texture, and a fresh homemade taste. The quality feels pure, and it adds great flavour to rice, chapati, dal, and other dishes.The glass jar packaging is sturdy and keeps the ghee fresh. I also like that it is made using the traditional bilona method, which gives it an authentic taste. Organic ghee taste feels. Helps in digestion as wellOverall, this is a premium-quality ghee and worth the price. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for pure and natural desi cow ghee.

Excellent Ghee – Wonderful Flavour & Aroma**

A little expensive, but worth it. The flavour is excellent and the aroma is really good. I have purchased this 17 times and have consistently been very happy with the quality. **Highly recommended.**
