Absolute Garbage — Feels Like a Cheap Toddler Toy

Do not waste your money on this Amazon Basics keyboard and mouse combo. Taking this out of the box, my first thought was that I accidentally ordered a cheap, plastic baby toy. The build quality is shockingly bad. The plastic feels incredibly flimsy, hollow, and entirely unfinished, with rough, unpolished edges around the keycaps that make it feel like a dollar-store prop rather than a functional piece of tech.Adding insult to injury, it does not even come with batteries included, forcing you to go out and buy them separately just to get it turned on. Worse still, it only takes a single battery. Because of this, the battery life is virtually non-existent. Expect to be swapping out dead batteries constantly, as this set drains power at an absurd rate.Beyond the terrible build quality, the actual performance is completely unusable. Based on my experience and hundreds of others who fell for the low price, here is what you can expect:* Severe Input Lag: The USB receiver constantly drops the signal. If your computer is more than two feet away, expect a massive delay between typing a letter and seeing it appear on screen.* Sticky, Mushy Keys: The typing experience is awful. The spacebar squeaks, keys randomly get stuck pressed down, and missed keystrokes are a constant reality unless you hammer the keys dead center.* Defective Mouse Wheel: Within a week, the mouse scroll wheel starts jumping wildly up and down instead of scrolling smoothly.* Phantom Clicks: The mouse frequently registers single clicks as double clicks, making it impossible to drag and drop files without accidentally opening them.* Zero Ergonomics: The keyboard lays completely flat with weak, breakable kickstands, guaranteeing wrist pain after just 20 minutes of typing. This is e-waste straight out of the factory. Spend the extra money and buy a name-brand set that was actually designed for adults to use.

Fantastic value for everyday office work — reliable and budget-friendly

I bought this combo for my work-from-home setup, and it has been an absolute lifesaver for the price. The full-size 104-key layout is exactly what I needed, especially having the dedicated ₹ (Rupee) key, which makes financial typing so much easier. The keyboard is lightweight but feels sturdy enough. Typing is relatively quiet—not completely silent, but definitely low-noise enough that it won't disturb anyone else in the room. The mouse is compact, fits well in the hand, and tracks accurately on a standard desk surface.Setup was a breeze: just plugged the single USB receiver into my Windows 11 laptop, and both the keyboard and mouse worked instantly. No lag or dropouts so far. If you need a reliable, no-frills wireless combo for office work, browsing, or studies, this is highly recommended!
