amazon basics USB-C Hub Dock 9-in-1 Aluminium Type-C Adapter

Good product; helps desk work with just one connection

It works well with my windows laptop as well as MacBook. It was a big bigger than what I expected. It's also solid with aluminium body (better for thermal dissipation). Things are seamless with windows, it's a bit quirky (expected!) with MacBook. TypeC pass through charging, HDMI out, USB peripherals like kbd, mouse, webcam all connect smoothly. I have not used the SDcard and Audio port yet.At first, you have to allow this dock to attach to your MacBook. Though the Wi-Fi shows as connected, mac chooses whichever network device comes first (in this case, LAN). Next, is the usual windows keyboard and mouse that doesn't work perfectly as they are not the same. But it's manageable. None of this is a hub issue, but a windows-apple ecosystem clash.overall, great ease with just 1 port plug-n-play. value for money.

My Experience with the Samsung DEX Mode (Samsung S20 FE 5G)**

Product Bought: USB-C Hub Dock 9-in-1 Aluminium Type-C Adapter with 4K HDMIReview:I am very pleased with this product. The delivery and packaging were straightforward. I installed this device, connecting it to my monitor, keyboard, mouse, Ethernet, pen drive, headphones, and Type-C charger cable. This complete setup worked perfectly as expected. I watched 4K videos without any lag, and the clarity was impressive. Multi-tasking was smooth, and the mouse performed flawlessly. The audio quality is outstanding, with stereo sound and nice bass that adds to the overall experience.**Pros:**1. This product offers great value for its budget-friendly price, especially considering the HDMI and LAN connectivity options.2. The video quality is excellent with no noticeable lag, even when playing full HD and 2K videos.3. Gaming performance is impressive.4. DEX Mode is a fantastic feature, making it feel like the next generation of mobile desktop or laptop usage.5. The short cable is advantageous for power consumption and provides a good response time for monitor use.**Audio:**I have already connected a Fiio Bluetooth receiver to the Type-C port on my mobile, which does not offer the option to disable sound quality and effects. However, this docking device provides the option to disable audio effects, giving you more control over your audio experience.**Cons:**1. The device tends to get slightly warm, but it's not a significant issue.2. It's unclear how long the product will last.3. Using this setup may drain your mobile battery relatively quickly, but connecting a charger can mitigate this issue.4. The audio sound quality is exceptional, and there is an option to disable audio effects on Samsung mobile devices, giving you control over your audio experience.**Windows Laptop Check**Added an additional review on November 15, 2023. Update: My friend checked the HDMI port for the Dell laptop (i5, 8GB RAM, Full HD display) with a docking station. Connecting to an HDMI monitor is working perfectly without any lag or resolution and color break. Watching movies in full HD mode provides excellent clarity. It's worth noting that this laptop operates on the Windows 11 operating system, enhancing the overall user experience. For optimal external display setup, simply press the Windows key + P, access the right-side panel, and choose your preferred option - whether it's duplicating the display or extending it.
